T.E.A.C.H.

This program will demonstrate the implementation of a multiple level instructional model (T.E.A.C.H.) that addresses student academic deficiencies through semantic mapping, reciprocal pedagogy, differentiated instruction, data analysis, cultural congruency, and high order thinking patterns.

Background: Mr. John A. E. Plump, a tenured educator in the Birmingham Public School System, has a vast amount of scholastic experience, ranging from jobs as a middle/ high school history teacher, football/ softball coach, alternative school principal, to his current position as assistant principal at Bush Middle School. Mr. Plump is an impeccable educator, with a wealth of knowledge in the field of education; he is also an extraordinary teacher/administrator with an untiring desire and commitment to infusing instructional ideologies for the 21st century. Finally, he is a world class presenter and professional development guru. His presentations are informational, motivational, empowering, and speak to novice instructors, urban, rural, suburban schools, and educators in general. Mr. Plump holds a master’s degree in Secondary Education from Alcorn State University and a certificated degree in Educational Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
